The money stays home. The bond crosses the Atlantic.

Joxko connects the Senegalese diaspora in Canada with families in Senegal. Parents pay in CFA francs in Dakar, the student receives dollars in Montréal. No international wire for each transfer, so lower fees and less waiting.

Frequently asked questions

How does the money arrive without an international wire?

Joxko holds a CFA franc account in Senegal and a dollar account in Canada. Parents' deposits in Dakar and workers' deposits in Canada balance each other: each payout is made from the account in the destination country. Only the net difference is rebalanced, in grouped and declared transfers.

When can I send money?

Money transfer is a regulated activity in Canada and Senegal. Transfers will open only once the required registrations and approvals are obtained. The product shop will open first. People on the waitlist will hear first.

How is the rate calculated?

The CFA franc is pegged to the euro: 1 euro equals 655.957 FCFA. The CAD/FCFA rate therefore follows the day's euro to Canadian dollar rate, plus a clearly shown margin. You know the exact amount received before you pay.

Which products can be received in Canada?

Only products that may legally be imported: coffee, grains, spices, bissap, peanut paste and some dried seafood under Canadian Food Inspection Agency rules. Meat products are not accepted.

Is my information protected?
